Gilt bronze, mercury-polished with agate
Rests on a sea-green marble base.
The movement is housed in a cabinet decorated with book spines in a library. A woman leans on the back, reading on one side; on the other, an armillary sphere.
The base is supported by four feet shaped like spinning tops.
In good condition, the clock comes with its original pendulum.
The mechanism has been serviced and is in perfect working order. All parts are original.
Crack in the dial and restoration to the marble base.
