Depicts Venus adjusting her diadem before a mirror held by Cupid.
Exceptional chasing work typical of this period.
Sculpted bronze, gilt and polished with agate.
The dial is signed "A PARIS".
The base is adorned with a bas-relief of dancing putti, above which is a second bas-relief with chimeras surrounding the dial.
The base is supported by four feet in the form of chimera claws holding a ball.
French work, circa 1800.
The clock comes with its pendulum and original key.
The mechanism has been serviced and is in perfect working order, with all original parts.
Some decorative elements are missing, and the rear foot is detached.
