Manufactured in Germany during the 1960s or 1970s, this "Ato-Mat" model effortlessly blends Brutalist structural elements with elegant, classic Mid-Century styling.
The clock features a substantial, black-lacquered wrought iron outer frame adorned with decorative scrollwork. Along the perimeter, raised silver-toned metallic shields feature bold black Roman numerals. At the center sits a minimalist, matte black dial accented by sophisticated brushed gold-toned hands and the iconic Junghans star insignia.
Collector’s Note: Unlike many vintage timepieces from this era that have been converted to cheap, modern quartz movements, this piece retains its 100% original, authentic Junghans electromechanical clear-case mechanism. It is powered by a single C-cell battery, offering collectors true period accuracy and exceptional mechanical engineering.
