A beautifully handcrafted Queen Anne-style cherry chest on frame by renowned Massachusetts furniture maker Eldred Wheeler, celebrated for producing museum-quality reproductions of early American furniture.
Constructed of solid cherry, this elegant chest features a molded cornice above two small drawers flanking a hand-carved fan shell motif, followed by four generously sized graduated drawers. Graceful cabriole legs with pad feet and a shaped apron complete the classic Queen Anne silhouette, while the original antiqued brass batwing pulls provide an authentic period finish.
The interior retains the original Eldred Wheeler paper label reading:
“Warranted Cabinet Work of All Kinds. Made and Sold by Eldred Wheeler, Hingham, Massachusetts.”
