This is a wonderful piece of American History. Mid-century minimalist design, made from walnut wood, it has a brushed metal face, a quartz glass window, in a hand crafted square walnut wood case. The gold plaque in the front features the classic brand symbol of their earliest productions as a merged production company, and the mounted case for the 2 AA batteries (not included) is still there and in working condition!
The American production company Rand Clockworks went under financially and was bought out by Ingersoll in 1921 and so it became “Ingersoll-Rand Productions” ever since.
This clock here was likey made in the early 1950’s as one of their first “desk clocks” ever produced.
