Antique Art Nouveau Silver Overlay Glass Perfume Bottle, C. 1899 Scent Bottle
Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic Art Nouveau period glass perfume bottle featuring intricate sterling silver overlay work. This exquisite piece showcases the classic organic flowing lines and floral-inspired scrolling characteristic of the late 19th to early 20th century Art Nouveau design movement. The silver overlay is beautifully detailed, wrapping around a bulbous glass body, and is paired with its original glass stopper. A perfect addition to any antique vanity collection, perfume bottle collection, or as a standalone statement display piece. Measures 3.25" high and 2.25" wide.
Condition Details: Silver: Good antique condition with minor surface wear and a lovely natural patina. Has one spot of missing silver on the lip of the opening, see last photo.
Glass: Clean and clear. No major chips or cracks found.Stopper: Fits securely; minor typical wear to the bottom plug from age.
