Both chairs feature the neoclassical oval medallion back, gently flared padded armrests, with turned and tapered arm supports. The serpentine. The frames display the stylized carved detailing with the seat rail that is raised on all four feet. They are upholstered in a Fortuny-like silk patterned stripe of pastel green and gold, lending a warm palatial quality to the chairs. I was attracted to these white painted Louis XVI style chairs because of the carved saw-tooth frames that feature a sublet green and gold silk fabric that marry together so seamlessly. I found them in a vintage store in West Hollywood California located in the Design District on La Brea Avenue. See less
