A vintage Staffordshire figural inkwell shaped like a resting greyhound or whippet on a blue pillow with gold trim. The whippet features hand painted bronze colored spots.
These figurines were produced in England during the Victorian era and become immensely popular. Thanks to this they were later mass-reproduced around the 1940s using the old molds.
The bottom of this figurine has a mark with "Made in England" which places it in the latter period.
