A sculptural low bowl in glossy black glazed ceramic, of rounded, biomorphic "space age" form with a wide, softly rolled rim surrounding a deep, funnel-like central well. The form is minimal and abstract, characteristic of Italian avant-garde ceramic design of the period, when firms like Sicart worked with designers such as Pino Spagnolo and Angelo Spagnolo to push traditional tableware into bold, architectural shapes.
