Charming vintage 1950s/1960s Italian hand painted high-relief display plate!
Produced by artisan workshops in Italy for the iconic "Peasant Village" (PV) import line by Mittledorfer-Straus.
This hand-painted plate has a flower and insect design and features lifelike, dimensional 3D striped Snails, Lemon Wedges and Watercress sprigs.

* Marked "Italy PV68126" on the back
* Features factory-molded hanging holes on the back rim with a wire already installed for immediate hanging.

In very good pre-loved and displayed condition.
There a couple of tiny kiln-firing bubble divots in the glaze of the plate and stray dabs of paint from the artisan's brush on the background plate. ***** PLEASE see photos for more details *****
Plate shows some very slight signs from being on display.

The light brown coloration on the un-glazed base is a normal characteristic of vintage Italian majolica, resulting from the natural earthenware clay, kiln firing, and age-related patina. It is not damage.
