From Ethan Allen's British Classics Collection, this American-made chest features the collection's signature English-inspired styling in the rich Nutmeg finish, accented by subtle distressing, fluted corner pilasters, ogee bracket feet, and solid brass floral ring-pull hardware. The design cleverly conceals the upper drawer beneath the molded frieze, creating the appearance of two drawer fronts. A custom thick protective glass top with polished beveled edges preserves the original finish while adding everyday practicality. Equally suited as a bachelor's chest, nightstand, entry chest, or accent cabinet, it complements English Traditional, Colonial Revival, Traditional, and Transitional interiors.
JUNE'S THOUGHTS
At first glance, I thought this was a handsome two-drawer chest, but discovering the concealed upper drawer is a delightful surprise and a reminder of how thoughtfully Ethan Allen designed the British Classics collection. The warm Nutmeg finish has mellowed beautifully over time, and the protective glass means the top has remained exceptionally well preserved. A wonderful bonus!
