The beautifully composed decoration features a distinctive bird perched upon a log within the center medallion, surrounded by hand-painted berries, florals, and foliage inspired by the Japanese aesthetic that captivated Victorian collectors during the Aesthetic Movement. Rich iron-red borders adorned with intricate gilding and softly scalloped edges create a sophisticated presentation that remains timeless today.
The reverse bears the classic winged-crown mark associated with C.F. Boseck. Their remarkable state of preservation is immediately apparent, with luminous gilding and beautifully maintained hand-painted decoration that gives the impression of a cherished cabinet set.
Each plate measures approximately 6¼ inches in diameter.
The set is offered in excellent antique condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs and only minor age-appropriate wear.
