This striking 1996 studio art pottery face vase was designed by ceramic artist Sara Lund. The piece features a high-relief sculptural design depicting two serene, overlapping faces merging seamlessly from a wavy, organically shaped vessel body. The facial profiles are finished in a smooth, raw matte ceramic, providing a gorgeous tactile and visual contrast against the highly reflective, cream-colored heavy crackle glaze of the body. It is hand-signed and dated 'Lund © 1996' on the underside. This sculptural vase makes an exceptional standalone postmodern art piece or looks beautifully styled with minimalist branches.
