Antique three-light candelabrum executed in gilt metal and dating from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1900–1930. The design features flowing vine forms, naturalistic foliage, and a highly sculptural leaf-form base characteristic of the organic aesthetic associated with Art Nouveau decorative arts.
Raised on an elaborate cast base with scrolling botanical ornament, the candelabrum supports three candle sockets arranged around a central stem. Construction details include an early single-slot screw and age-consistent oxidation to the underside, supporting an early twentieth-century date.
The quality of casting and decorative modeling exceeds that typically found in later decorative reproductions, making this an attractive example of period Art Nouveau metalwork.
