A vibrant pair of Italian-made ceramic cockatoo parrots imported by Chelsea House. Richly hand-painted in saturated shades of yellow, blue, pink, green, and white, the birds perch atop sculptural faux branches accented with shell details. Their colorful plumage, expressive crests, and substantial scale make them eye-catching decorative accents for a bookshelf, console, bar, or tropical-inspired interior. Marked "Italy" and "Chelsea House" on the undersides. A wonderful example of the bold tropical décor that became popular in the late 20th century, blending Palm Beach style with Hollywood Regency flair.
