Design Plus Gallery presents a Faux Book Side Table from the Early 20th Century. The table is crafted in the neoclassical Louis XVI or Director manner with slim, straight tapered legs and elegant lines. The central panel is a clever trompe-l'oeil (trick of the eye) designed to look like a row of leather-bound antique book spines. The section used to open to reveal hidden storage but is not opening properly. The tabletop does spin and folds out for a wider expanse. Visible wear is present and the cavity space is broken, overall fair condition.
