A premier example of early 21st-century British studio ceramics from the historic Moorcroft Pottery of Stoke-on-Trent, England.
This bulbous earthenware cabinet vase features a short neck, slightly flared rim, and a footed circular base. It is decorated in the highly stylized "Fowlers Farmyard" pattern by Senior Designer Kerry Goodwin, executed using the foundry’s hallmark slip tube-lining method.
The relief decoration frames a continuous narrative of pink and peach swine against an olive green and sky blue backdrop.
The underside features a comprehensive suite of factory markings, including impressed company stamps, the thrower's mark "H", a green painted 2009 copyright, the tall-vase year cipher, and the hand-painted "JH" artisan monogram.
Measuring 4.5" high by 4" in diameter, the vessel is in an immaculate state of conservation, completely free of glaze crazing or structural defects.
