Executed in the Chelsea-Derby style, the bowl combines a deep cobalt-blue ground with richly gilded ornament and finely painted floral decoration.

Oval floral reserves punctuate the exterior, while a gilt brickwork border provides additional visual structure around the lower body. The interior is fully decorated with a central bouquet and smaller floral sprays, ensuring equal attention to both interior and exterior presentation.
