A patinated bronze clock depicting a lighthouse with architectural decoration: the shaft is adorned with windows and openings simulating the masonry of a real lighthouse, while the upper section reproduces the lantern with its openwork gallery.
The base is made of black marble. The upper part of the lighthouse featured a barometer, a thermometer (in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit), and a pendulum dial, and it rotated thanks to a complex mechanism. Signed Janetti Padre e Figli, Torino, Roma, Firenze: The Janetti Padre e Figli firm was among the most important Italian dealers of art and luxury goods in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Founded in 1834 by the Janetti family in Turin, and later established in Florence, Rome, and Naples, the company catered to a wealthy international clientele, offering high-quality works of art, bronzes, porcelain, furniture, objets d'art, and timepieces.
Several missing and worn parts (mercury crystal, hands, bent railing, etc.)
Clock sold with its key: the mechanism that rotates the lantern has been tested and is working.
