Newly reupholstered in a stunning blue nubby woven fabric with yellow undertones, this pair of birch bentwood Model 402 lounge chairs by master Finnish designer Alvar Aalto are among the most sought-after mid-century modern chairs. The frames are in excellent condition, and the seat height with new high density 2-in foam is 16 in, a bit higher and more comfortable than the original chairs.
The chairs are being sold for the original owner, who bought them in 1987.
