18th Century Georgian Wedgwood Creamware Charger Queen’s Ware Platter Painted Brown Leaf Pattern Impressed Wedgwood Mark
An early Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Queen’s Ware creamware charger, dating to around 1780–1785. This large, round serving platter features a gently raised lip, hand-painted with a brown leaf border. The base is impressed with the Wedgwood mark.
The estimated date is based on a Wedgwood creamware herring dish in the Victoria and Albert Museum decorated with the same brown leaf motif.
A fine example of early Wedgwood craftsmanship, this platter presents beautifully and would make a striking display piece, a thoughtful gift, or a strong addition to a creamware collection.
Under close inspection, subtle concentric lines from the original turning process are visible, a hallmark of authentic 18th-century creamware.
