Designed in the elegant late 18th-century "Adam Style," this fine tabletop collector’s piece is beautifully crafted from vibrant satinwood and showcases detailed, hand-painted classical decoration throughout. The piece features a unique three-part tiered architecture consisting of twin side cabinets flanking a central two-drawer chest. Each cabinet door is adorned with an oval medallion framing a classical Grecian urn wrapped in green swags and bordered by delicate trailing red floral garlands. The central chest contains two smooth-sliding drawers decorated with matching floral bouquets and capped with small white bone or porcelain knobs. The flat top panels display rich grain pattern borders mimicking full-scale cabinetry. This miniature treasure was likely created as a high-end tabletop jewelry chest, a master apprentice piece, or a traveling salesman’s sample. It makes a captivating decorative statement on top of a larger dresser, desk, or vanity tabletop. See less
