Store Item: Famous English Mahogany Tall Case Clock made by Samuel Toulmin London circa 1770
Description: Clock features fret topped hood with three brass finials over pierced fabric backed arch over breakarch dial door centering reeded and brass strung columns, brass capitals, stepped breakarch crotch mahonany waist door centering reeded and brass strung quarter columns, brass capitals above mold decorated base, movement matches case, composite dial signed "Samuel Toulmin Strand, London" with chapter ring, cast spandrels, strike/silent regulation and date window, brass faced pendulum and brass enclosed weights. Made by Samuel Toulmin of London circa 1770. Clock featured in "British Longcase Clocks" by Derek Roberts page 153.
Clock includes weights, pendulum, key and winder.
Condition Report: Very Good Overall appearance with some wear, nicks, scuffs and scratches as expected with age. Restorations noted to base and waist door bottom molding missing. The clock has not been tested and we do not guarantee the working conditions of clocks and highly recommend hiring a professional clock person to clean, service and install the clock after delivery.
