Seldom would I find ones with butterflies and other interesting creatures. When I found this one with praying mantis and grasshoppers, I was overjoyed. This glass bottle has a yellow ground which highlights the painted subjects. On one side are two praying mantis beneath blue morning glories, one of my favorite wild flower. On the other side two grasshoppers are sucking nectar from red flowers. The insects are lively and expertly painted by a sturdy hand without hesitation. All of them engage in activities insects do. The glass bottle is matched with a bright red stopper which adds color to the paintings . See less
