Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Two Canali di Venezia Series Serigraphs by Thomas Pradzynski. Best known for his atmospheric, hyper-realistic interpretations of Parisian architecture, Pradzynski turned his attention to Venice in this notable body of work, applying the same keen observation of historic structures and urban character. The set includes Canale Grande, depicting the celebrated waterways of Venice with aged facades mirrored across the canal, and Cortile di Venezia, offering a more secluded perspective through a historic entryway into one of the city's quieter interior spaces. Both compositions reflect Pradzynski’s distinctive approach to architectural subjects, emphasizing the enduring presence of the built environment and the passage of time. The two serigraphs are identically encased in custom black lacquer with golden accents and come with their certificate of authenticity. They are in good condition with minimal wear from usage.
Estimated Cost: $6,500
About the Artist:
Contemporary realist painter Thomas Pradzynski was known for his urban landscapes of Paris and other cities. Born in Poland and having visited Paris as a child, he became captivated by the intimate settings and romantic tradition. After finishing his architectural studies, the artist moved to Paris where he fell in love with the architecture. He began painting the cities doorways and storefronts in a highly realistic manner. In the early 1990's the Pradzynski began working as a printmaker as well, producing dozens of limited edition serigraphs that expanded his notoriety and increased the demand for his work. Thomas Pradzysnki died tragically in 2007. His artwork has been exhibited internationally and is in numerous public and private collections. We have several of his serigraphs and other artwork for sale.
