The dramatic glass object is Jozefina, a hand-blown premium art glass line produced by the Krosno glassworks in Poland, known for its bold, modernist designs during the mid to late 20th century. This particular "Erupt" pattern features dramatic swirling ribbons of red, black, and white cased glass, showcasing the technical mastery of Polish glassblowers who layered multiple to create striking optical effects .The fazzoletto (handkerchief) form, with its organic, flowing shape, was inspired by Italian Murano techniques but executed with a distinctly Polish aesthetic.
This red, white and black artistic object is a piece of bold and dramatic sculpture. The dramatic color contrasts and dynamic form is a functional object that is also a piece of art. Jozefina pieces are valued for their exceptional craftsmanship, artistic merit and representation of Poland's significant contribution to 20th century studio glass movement.
