Pattern z4828 is distinguished by its pearl-grey turkish-blue lustre exterior, scattered gilt oriental motifs and luminous yellow lustre interior centred by a beautifully painted dragon.

the combination of unusual colour, iridescent surface effects and refined dragon decoration makes this one of the more desirable dragon patterns within the fairyland lustre series. The richly painted dragon, with its finely rendered scales and flowing whiskers, demonstrates the exceptional decorative standards achieved within the fairyland range.

its cabinet size and excellent preservation further enhance its appeal. An elegant and highly collectable example of early twentieth-century british art pottery and one of the most imaginative decorative wares produced by wedgwood.
