c1950 Chinese Enameled Butterfly-Shape Pin Tray, Peonies, Polychrome Enamel 6"
This listing is for a very unique Chinese Polychrome Enamel decorated Butterfly-Shaped Pin Dish (Tray) with a standing cobalt blue patterned border around the band. The central chinoiserie floral motif is a display boasting bold peonies and pomegranates. There is a mauve stripe outline. The enamel is on a metal which is either brass or copper which displays a nice patina around the rolled rim. The underside is a white enamel and is unmarked.
This decorative tray being a Mid-Century Chinese Export which is hand-decorated dates to roughly c1950.
Size: 6-3/8" Wide at the widest point x 5" x 1" High
Condition: Very good overall condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
