Antique Ernst Bohne Söhne Capodimonte-Style Armorial Porcelain Charger
This a wonderful oversized 14-inch antique porcelain charger platter produced by Ernst Bohne Söhne (Thuringia, Germany), circa 1901–1920.
This exceptional cabinet piece features a brilliant, heavy gold-gilt basin centered by a hand-painted armorial coat of arms displaying a gold eagle over a striking red shield.
The wide rim is decorated with an incredibly detailed, hand-painted polychrome frieze in high relief, depicting classical Bacchanalian and mythological figures among grapevines.
The reverse bears the characteristic underglaze blue crowned "N" style back-stamp.
