Featuring distinctive octagonal lenses, a graceful curved bridge, and delicate wire temples, these spectacles exemplify the elegant craftsmanship and functional design of turn-of-the-century optical accessories. Their compact folding construction allowed them to be conveniently stored in a pocket or handbag, making them an indispensable personal item during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
The accompanying original metal case retains its beautiful blue-lined interior, creating a striking visual presentation and adding significant historical charm to the set. The spectacles and case display a naturally aged patina consistent with more than a century of use and preservation.
