This Louis XV-style three-panel folding screen is characterized by its detailed ornamentation and elegant curves typical of French Rococo design. The top profile of each panel features a distinct serpentine arch, with the central panel rising slightly higher than the flanking sides to create a balanced silhouette. The bottom sections of each panel feature wood aprons embellished with deep relief carvings of floral garlands, ribbons, and central cartouches. The main fabric inserts are bordered by a contrasting mauve/dusty pink velvet trim that hugs the inner perimeter of the frame. Each panel showcases a central linen or damask-patterned textile panel depicting a vertical, classical floral bouquet arrangement wrapped in delicate ribbons.
67" HT. x 62". Length Each Panel is 19.5" width.
Most likely tapestry is much older than the frame and backside fabric.
