This is a lovely Pair of English Aesthetic Movement Faux Bamboo Chairs in the well known Sussex Style, C.1890-1900
Based on the structural evidence, wood grain, and design elements, these are English armchairs dating from the late 19th century.
Heavily influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement and the iconic Morris & Co. "Sussex" chairs
They have new seat cushions made with a Vintage French Toile from the South of France.
Very good antique condition, consistent with age and use.
