The chair features a black lacquered wooden frame highlighted with hand-applied gilt decoration. Its elegant silhouette is defined by sweeping open arms, a curved crest rail and a distinctive X-form front stretcher adorned with gilt acanthus motifs.

The upholstery is executed in a richly coloured printed cotton satin. The fabric displays an exuberant exotic floral pattern in ruby red, deep blue, emerald green and gold tones, creating a dramatic contrast with the glossy black frame. The satin weave gives the textile a subtle lustre and remarkable visual depth.

The seat is firm, comfortable and retains its shape exceptionally well. Traditional internal webbing is present and remains supportive.

A decorative statement piece equally suited to a living room, library, bedroom, dressing room or sophisticated hospitality interior.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The lacquered and gilt surfaces present beautifully, with only minor signs of age and use consistent with careful ownership. Upholstery is clean and well preserved.
