A decorative vintage brass inkwell tray featuring an ornate raised inkwell with a hinged lid, glass ink insert, and Pegasus winged horse finial. The square tray is richly detailed with embossed scrolling foliage, classical-style faces, decorative side handles, and small paw-form feet.
The piece has a wonderful old-world desk accessory feel, ideal for a library, writing desk, office, study, bookcase, or collected tabletop vignette. The inkwell is affixed to the tray and the removable glass insert is intact and in excellent condition.
Unmarked; exact origin unknown. Beautiful aged patina throughout.
