19th C George III campaign chest, made from solid mahogany with 2 case construction.
The upper case has a fall front drawer with a fitted interior.
The iron carrying handles are original and strong.
Finely dovetailed item.
Campaign chests from this period are highly collectable. This is a relatively small sized item, making it very versatile: in an entry hallway, as bedroom furniture, or as a gorgeous dresser cum writing area in a guest room.
It has marks and signs of use from age, however it is in excellent condition for age with a lovely aged patina.
