Colorfully dramatic verre eglomisé-style reverse painted “sunburst”-shape wall mirror featuring a design with the look-and-feel of gold leaf and an auburn sienna-hued foil, striking, isn’t it? The frame’s raised ribbed glass profile adds additional visual and textural interest.

Eglomisé or reverse painted glass has an unexpected depth to it and it almost seems to glow when illuminated. Each piece is done back to front: details painted first, then larger color areas and finally a background color which in this case is a rich matte milk chocolate brown. It is a skill that requires great care and precision, as the visual surface is painted first then layered over, there is absolutely no room for mistakes. This beauty measures 20” x 20” x 1” W/D/H; 5” diameter center circular mirror; weight 5 lbs. 2 oz. There is a heavy-duty adhesive picture mounting hanger with center hole on the back of the mirror for instant placement on a wall. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear.
