An exceptional, larger-scale vintage Anglo-Indian lidded statement box by Maitland-Smith featuring highly intricate, hand-cut tessellated bone tiles flanked by detailed geometric horn parquetry inlay.
The beautifully tailored domed silhouette features a continuous elongated honeycomb motif running seamlessly down the sides. The cover is anchored by a sculptural, multi-tiered turned bone finial emerging from a hand-carved radial flower petal rosette medallion.
Collection Provenance: This piece belongs to a single-owner, matching luxury collection originally acquired together on the same day from an upscale estate in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
