Lawrence Company, San Francisco" and stamped model 337 beneath each seat. These chairs closely correspond to documented examples of Model 337 attributed to J. & J. Kohn / Mundus.

The seats feature a detailed iris motif rendered in contrasting veneers, framed by the classic bentwood construction associated with Viennese café furniture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Both chairs retain their original "337" model stamp beneath the seats. Faint circular manufacturer's markings are also present but no longer fully legible.

The combination of the model number, embossed importer mark, construction details, and distinctive iris marquetry closely aligns with examples identified as Kohn/Mundus Model 337 chairs.

One chair shows evidence of an old stabilized seat repair. Minor ridging and age-related wear remain visible on close inspection. The other chair shows typical wear consistent with age and use.

A handsome and increasingly uncommon pair that still carries the character of well-used café furniture rather than later refinishing or heavy restoration.
