Each glass is wrapped with a wide band of hand-applied 24k gold etched in an intricate foliate scroll and finished with a polished gold rim, while the lower body is hand-cut in the signature diamond-and-fan motif that catches and refracts the light beautifully. Each is acid-etched on the base with the “Cristal St Louis France” maker’s mark.

Founded in 1586, Saint-Louis is France’s oldest crystal manufacturer and remains synonymous with luxury barware. The Thistle Gold line is among the maison’s most exclusive patterns—each glass mouth-blown and hand-engraved, the gold applied by brush, fired, and polished with agate stone. So prized that it has graced presidential dinner tables on official occasions. Each glass here has a satisfying heft in the hand and a thick, clear base.
