A handsome and well-preserved small platter in the highly collectible Crescent Pinwheel pattern — one of the most desirable designs in the Gaudy Welsh repertoire. Produced in Staffordshire, England for the American market, this platter displays the bold cobalt flow blue border, vivid iron-red floral decoration, and gilded foliate accents that define the pattern at its finest. The octagonal form adds visual presence and is rarer than standard oval platters of the period.
