An original Monterey desk in its classic straw ivory finish, dating to circa 1929. This piece exemplifies the distinctive Monterey style—an early California design movement influenced by Spanish Colonial and rustic European aesthetics, popularized in the late 1920s and 1930s.
The desk features hand-painted floral decoration across the front, wrought iron strap hardware, and beautifully turned legs connected by a stretcher base. The hinged top with iron handle suggests practical storage.
