This beautiful, versatile Mid Century Modern chair from The Gunlocke Company of Wayland, New York still has its original upholstery and tag - hard to find with these classic pieces. The wood appears to have been well cared for, and is visually and tactually pleasing. The tag indicates a manufacturing period of 1969-early 1970s.
The chair is sturdy and in very good vintage condition. The original denim blue tweed upholstery shows some fading and wear, and the seat cushion is compressed, consistent with age. The fabric is free from rips and tears, though the seat back cushion has a <1" separation at the seam, which could be stitched. There are some scratches on the wood, though the overall texture is smooth, and the scratches do not detract from the appearance. Please see photos. The chair has been left in its found condition for you to maintain or restore as preferred.
Note: There are two chairs available, in identical condition, shown in the last photo. This listing is for one chair. Offers will be considered for the pair.
