Wonderful Danish modern teak rocking chair by legendary architect and designer, Ole Wanscher. It was designed for France & Son and sold in the US by John Stuart. It still retains the John Stuart disc logo. This is the iconic Model 120 chair that was designed so that it could be completely disassembled and reassembled in under a minute thanks to a simple and ingenious connector system (see images). It truly is a brilliant design.
This iconic chair has had new custom cushions made with new medium density foam upholstered with vintage Knoll fabric in a lovely deep green color. The chair has also had all new spring loops made to the specifications of the original. It sits very nicely!
The chair is in excellent over all condition with no damage and only a couple of minor scuffs. The custom cushions are new, the loop springs are new. Previously the chair had had strapping poorly stapled to the bottom platform instead of the original loop springs. We removed that and filled the staple holes before correcting the chair with the new loops.
The chair looks fabulous and needs nothing to enjoy it immediately.
