A Collected Trio of Vintage Italian Marquetry Wood Inlay Trinket Boxes With Highly Detailed, Mirror-Image Arabesque Scrolls & Phoenixes. Made with exquisite craftsmanship utilizing traditional Sorrento marquetry techniques, layering fine, contrasting wood veneers to construct the artwork. The artisan design features highly detailed, symmetrical arabesque scrolls with mirror-image phoenixes or songbirds. Missing music mechanism in the small box. On all boxes there are minor surface scratches and ‘checking’ - splits or cracks in the wood caused by the wood expanding and contracting with moisture over time as is common in vintage pieces.
