The portrait is set beneath a domed glass cover within an ornate cast bronze frame decorated with finely detailed neoclassical motifs and crowned by a ribbon crest. The reverse retains its original mirror plate with desirable age-related patina and light foxing consistent with its age.

A beautiful example of Belle Époque craftsmanship, this decorative vanity mirror combines sculptural bronze work with the romantic portraiture popular in France during the late Victorian era.
