Elegant 19th-century English light oak pedestal desk
This beautiful pedestal desk has been crafted on both sides, allowing it to be placed in the center of a room or against a wall.
A desk of exceptional quality.
The desk features three drawers in the frieze and two pedestals, each with three drawers and beautiful original handles.
The molding work on the drawers and throughout the desk is exquisite, reflecting the Dubuteau style.
The height below the frieze is 65 cm, providing a comfortable seating position (often too low).
The top is covered in green leather with a Directoire-style gilt-rolled design. This is the original leather, which has a beautiful patina. It also features bronze decoration.
