The desk features a shaped top with its original blue Formica surface, a beautiful period detail that adds both character and practicality.

The central drawer unit has been subtly detached from the top structure, creating a lighter and more architectural appearance. The drawers are adorned with elegant brass handles, while the four tapered legs show a clear inspiration from the work of Gio Ponti, giving the piece a graceful and sophisticated profile without unnecessary heaviness. Humans in the 1950s briefly understood that furniture did not need to resemble armored bank vaults. A rare moment of restraint.

The accompanying chair has been newly upholstered in velvet and perfectly complements the desk. Particularly notable are the inclined backrest line, the forward-projecting seat, and the sculptural side profile. The shaped bands beneath the seat curve downward, while the wooden stretchers underneath rise upward, creating a dynamic and highly original silhouette.
