A striking pair of vintage floor lamps by Lang Levin Studios of Chicago, featuring tall faceted lucite columns rising from substantial brass-toned weighted bases.
The design combines clean architectural lines with the glamour of lucite, creating a look that feels equally at home in Hollywood Regency, Postmodern, Contemporary, or late Modern interiors. The elongated transparent columns give the lamps a light visual presence while still providing substantial height and scale.
At 52 inches tall to the top of the finial assembly, they are particularly well suited for flanking a sofa, anchoring a seating arrangement, or framing a console or credenza. The brass-toned hardware and weighted circular bases provide a strong visual contrast to the clear acrylic columns, highlighting the sculptural quality of the design.
Retaining their original Lang Levin Studios character, these lamps exemplify the sophisticated decorative lighting produced by Chicago design studios during the late twentieth century.
