A most unusual set of vases, strongly attributed to Vittorio Zecchin, Murano Italy, 1920s vintage.
Upscale and chic, these golden glass vases are hand made, blown in an optic trumpet form and fitted into equally sophisticated, handcrafted iron bases with a verdi gris patina. Style-wise, these straddle the lines of Art Nouveau, Modernism and Hollywood Regency.
Overall dimensions: 11"x 5.5"x 5". Trumpets alone are: 7.25"x 5"x 5". Base measures 9..5" tall on a 2.75" diameter base.
Condition is excellent with some scattered cosmetic/superficial rust color...structure is fine and can be cleaned and re-patinated. The small cups on the arms look like they have losses but are 'as made'. Glass is fine. Bases are marked "Made In Italy", glass is unmarked. Undated.
