An extraordinary, investment-grade design find. Offered here is a massive, completely uncut 18-yard continuous bolt of pristine New Old Stock (NOS) mid-century modern cotton barkcloth. Featuring a spectacular, deeply saturated botanical pattern of blooming white poppies and chartreuse-yellow florals against a rich, chocolate-brown ground with a touch of orange-red, this textile embodies the peak of 1940s American interior design. Finding vintage barkcloth in a continuous 18-yard run is exceptionally rare. This quantity provides enough yardage for large-scale, high-end design projects that typically cannot be completed with vintage remnants—such as a matching pair of custom upholstered chairs, an entire room of floor-to-ceiling drapery, or extensive wall coverings. The textile boasts the quintessential, heavily textured, "nubby" weave that gives authentic barkcloth its structural weight and luxurious drape. The selvedge edge features the original printer's stamp: "Selected Vat Dyes," a mid-century mark of premium quality guaranteeing that the vibrant greens, vivid chartreuse, and crisp whites are highly resistant to sunlight fading and wear. Dimensions Total Length: 18 Yards (54 Feet / Continuous Uncut Bolt) Width 48 inches. This is true "deadstock" material that has been carefully stored for decades away from light and dust. Consistent with unused textiles of this era, there is minor, light yellowing/oxidation along the edges due to long-term storage on the bolt and can easily be worked around during cutting or addressed with professional textile cleaning. Strong, robust fibers with absolutely no dry rot or structural weakness. Colors remain as vibrant and saturated as the day they were printed. Free from smoke, musty odors, staining, or UV fading.

Note for Designers: This fabric is sold strictly as a complete 18-yard lot to preserve its rare, continuous value.

Consistent with unused textiles of this era, there is minor, light yellowing/oxidation along the selvedge and folded edges due to long-term storage on the bolt. This is concentrated strictly at the margins and minimal along the fold and only visible in the single center white flower, remains well clear of the main printed floral pattern, and can easily be worked around during cutting or addressed with professional textile cleaning.
